Destiny 11.5 Video

Destiny 11.5 is here!

Resource Lists You can copy existing Resource Lists, share ownership of a Resource List (multiple owners/co-owners), switch Resource Lists in Quest, reassign ownership of a Resource List (move the list before you delete the patron), and share lists across the district.
eBooks The new OPEN button removes the ambiguity of multiple links displayed in eBook records. The button will be visible on all eBooks, not just Follett Shelf titles. Follett eBooks have a green icon for material type. Non Follett eBooks have a blue icon.
Book covers visible in circulation when searching for a book.
Web Path Express Browse feature was improved. Subject search is visible on Web Path Express front page. Topics can be expanded easily by clicking the + button.
A new Homeroom setup button in Back Office in left panel menu. It’s also located in Back Office>Site Configuration>Site Administration sub tab.
 Updated material type icons.
Sub location is now visible in Destiny Classic and Destiny Quest

Improved Web Path Express Statistics Report can show total usage across the district.

Enrollment and access to Follett’s User Group is visible in the upper right corner.

Destiny & Chrome

We’ve received questions about Destiny and Chrome recently. There is no sound in circulation module when using Chrome. One library discovered that barcodes printed in Chrome didn’t work well. You'll find that some databases set up in One Search won't display when using Chrome. Follett recommends using Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

The Library

Jonathan Glancy wrote an article for BBC Culture "Temples of books: The world’s most beautiful libraries".
http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20131113-the-most-spectacular-libraries. The slide show at the link shows beautiful libraries around the world.
He mentions a new book The Library by James W. P. Campbell & Will Pryce published last month.

including a 30 second book trailer.

‘In a lavish tribute to the architecture of libraries, the culture of learning and our ever-changing relationship with the written word from ancient to medieval modern, this great book is itself a rich library’- Saga Magazine

eLibrary up and running in One Search....

eLibrary from Proquest is working in One Search.
It was not showing individual articles when users clicked on the links in the Destiny catalog.
